Alfre Woodard Wins Screen Actors Guild Award
Alfie Woodard took home a Screen Actors Guild award last night for “Female actor in a television movie or miniseries.” Woodard played Ousier in the Lifetime remake of Steel Magnolias which aired in Fall 2012.Â
Denzel Washington was nominated for “Male actor in a leading role” for his performance in Flight, but the award went to Daniel Day Lewis For Lincoln.
There were no nominations in any category for either Django Unchained or Beasts Of The Southern Wild. We will have to wait until the Oscars to see how these films do.
