Spike TV Will Air Star Studded Tribute To Eddy Murphy
Spike TV posted a press release announcing the airing of a special program Eddie Murphy: One Night Only. The program is a tribute to the career of Eddie Murphy. From Spike TV:
Eddie Murphy: One Night Only will pay homage to Murphy’s journey from a 15-year-old aspiring comedian, to the record-breaking “Raw,” which remains the highest grossing stand-up film of all time, to his indelible characters and impressions from “Saturday Night Live” including Buckwheat, Gumby, Mr. Robinson and James Brown.
The even is the first televised tribute to the comedic star. Attendees include:
- Chris Rock
- Samuel L. Jackson
- Tracy Morgan
- Martin Lawrence
Throughout the tribute there will be entertainment in the form of of short films, musical performances, and comedy sketches, hopefully with some of the guests named above.
The event will be broadcast on Spike TV on Wednesday, November 14.
