Halle Berry Film Frankie & Alice To Hit Theaters 6 Years Late On April 4
Frankie & Alice, starring Halle Berry, is releasing in theaters on April 4, 2014. The movie was actually filmed back in 2008, but never had a wide theatrical release. Despite the fact that Halle Berry received a Golden Globe nomination for her role in the film in the Best Actress in a Motion Picture Drama category, and took home the NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Actress in a Motion Picture, its probably your first time hearing about the film. Back in 2010, Frankie & Alice had a limited theatrical release just so it could qualify for the award circuit. The film never had a wide release, but that’s about to change. Read the synopsis for the film below, then check out the theatrical trailer and 3 clips:
FRANKIE & ALICE is inspired by the remarkable true story of an African American go-go dancer “Frankie” with dissociative identity disorder (DID) who struggles to remain her true self while fighting against two very unique alter egos: a seven-year-old child named “Genius” and a Southern white racist woman named “Alice.” In order to stop the multiple voices in her head, Frankie (Halle Berry) works together with a psychotherapist (Stellan Skarsgård) to uncover and overcome the mystery of the inner ghosts that haunt her (Code Black)
