Viola Davis To Headline ‘Lila And Eve’ With Jennifer Lopez
An all new drama starring Viola Davis and Jennifer Lopez is being produced for the big screen by Lifetime Films and A&E studios. The film is titled Lila And Eve, and will be directed by Charles Stone III who directed 2013’s Crazy Sexy Cool: The TLC Story.
A synopsis of the upcoming film was found through a press release found on Zap2It:
“Lila and Eve tells the story of a grief stricken mother (Davis), who in the aftermath of her son’s murder in a drive-by shooting, attends a support group where she meets Eve (Lopez), who has lost her daughter. When Lila hits numerous roadblocks from the police in bringing justice for her son’s slaying, Eve urges Lila to take matters into her own hands to track down her son’s killers. The two women soon embark on a killing spree of their own, as they work to the top of the chain of drug dealers to avenge the murder of Lila’s son.”
Studios are hoping to debut the film at a film festival followed by a wide theatrical release in late 2014 or early 2015. Since it stars Viola Davis, my bet is that it will be a solid film. Post a comment below if you agree!
