DVR Alert Taye Diggs And Marlon Wayans Jr. Guest On New Girl November 5th
Two Black actors, Taye Diggs and Marlon Wayans Jr., guest star in the episode of New Girl airing November 5, 2013. The show airs Tuesdays on the Fox network at 9/8c PM. Wayans Jr. was originally cast as the shows token Black roommate, and actually appeared in the pilot, but was called away to another commitment. Lamorne Morris, who plays Winston Phillips, took on the role of the token Black guy at that point. The show wrote in an excuse for Wayan’s departure and had him move away in episode 2. In tomorrow’s episode, it appears Wayans has returned to reclaim an empty room since Schmidt recently moved out. Unfortunately, the guest appearance is just announced for one episode, so there will not be two permanent Black characters on New Girl. From the photos released for the episode, it appears Wayans Jr.’s character is a funny troublemaker.
Diggs will play a much different role. According to E!, he will portray a Taye Diggs look alike who romances the character Jess. Check out some photos from the upcoming episode below.
