Watch 12 Years As A Slave’s Haunting Film Featurette
An very haunting 5 minute long featurette has been released for the film 12 Years As A Slave.  The film stars Chiwetel Ejiofor as Solomon Northup, a free black man living in the North who is abducted, sold into slavery, and shipped down South. The film is based on the real life memoirs of  Solomon Northup.

McQueen confesses that his relatives were slaves in the Caribbean atone point. He says making a film that truly depicts the truths about slavery in America has never been done, despite its obviousness as a choice. He seems to be “calling out” Hollywood in a sense.Steve McQueen has yet to produce a feature film not surrounded by buzz, critical acclaim, and award nominations.
The supporting cast is incredible and includes Alfre Woodard, Quvenzhané Wallis, Adepero-Oduye, Brad Pitt, Michael Fassbender, Paul Giamatti,  Benedict Cumberbatch, and more. See the full cast list here: http://www.blallywood.com/2012/07/steve-mcqueenstwelve-years-a-slave-and-its-epic-cast/
