Tia Mowry Sitcom ‘Instant Mom’ Picked Up For 13 Episodes
NickPress recently put out a press release (TVByTheNumbers) with a few details on Tia Mowry’s upcoming sitcom Instant Mom. The show stars Tia Mowry-Hardrict as ” Stephanie, a party girl who trades in Cosmos for carpools when she marries Charlie, who already has three kids.”
We’ve learned the series will start out with 13 episodes that will debut during primetime in the “NickMom” block on the Nick JR. channel. The show will also re-run on Nick At Nite. Co-stars have been announced, and Sheryl Lee Ralph, who plays Stephanie’s mom, and Michael Boatman, who plays Charlie, Stephanie’s Husband, round out the adult cast. Charlie’s three children are being played by Sydney Park, Tylen Williams, and Damarr Clahoun.
Instant Mom is executive-produced by Howard Gould and Aaron Kaplan. Gould had served as executive producer and head writer of Cybill when it won the Golden Globe for Best Comedy Series. He also wrote and directed the feature film The Six Wives of Henry Lefay, starring Tim Allen, Elisha Cuthbert, Andie MacDowell and Jenna Elfman. Gould’s other credits include FM, Home Improvement, The Jeff Foxworthy Show, Mr. 3000 and Shrek the Third.
