The Cleveland Show Will Not Be Renewed For Fall 2013

It was moved from the category “unlikely to be renewed” to “certain to be cancelled” by TVByTheNumbers. This is not the first time the Family Guy spin off has faced the chopping block. Things looked bleak for the show a year ago, but somehow it managed to run for another season.

On the other hand, the show’s relatives Family Guy and American Dad will be renewed for their 12th and 9th seasons respectively. The Cleveland Show won’t see a season 5. It seems even the best Black cartoons have trouble gaining viewers. Black cartoon favorites from The Boondocks to Emmy nominated The PJs could not make it to 50 episodes. The Cleveland Show has seen over 80 episodes in its time.
