Walking Dead Clip Shows More Of New Black Characters
A new clip previewing the return of the The Walking Dead shows interaction between the main cast and characters who were introduced in the show’s mid-season finale. It’s great to see the show diversifying the regular cast with competent characters who have social skills (sorry Michonne). Hopefully this marks a turning point for a show that has perpetuated racial stereotypes in the horror genre, however inadvertently. Chad Coleman plays  Tyrese, the leader of his crew, paralleling Rick’s role in his own group of survivors. Sonequa Martin-Green plays a survivor named Sasha who was not in the comics.
