La La’s Full Court Life Recap 3×01
The show may have been on break between Seasons 2 & 3, but that doesn’t mean La La Anthony and her family have been sitting on the sidelines. Between La La filming a movie and working on her line with Motives Cosmetics, Carmelo Anthony leading the New York Knicks to the franchise’s first playoff victory in 10 years, and son Kiyan, 5, being tapped as the face of Jordan Kids, the Anthony’s are taking over in a big way.
The season 3 launch gets off to a fast start with La La and Co. jetting off to London in preparation for the Olympics and La La’s segment for Access Hollywood. With son Kiyan and close friends Candice “Dice” Dixon and Po Johnson in tow, La La makes it her mission to take London by storm and experience the city from the perspective of a native Londoner.
A visit to an authentic English pub, where Po, Dice, and La La dine on classic British fare like bangers & mash and fish & chips, starts off with the trio challenging one another to a beer chugging contest with £100 up for grabs. La La, unable to swallow more than a few sips, realizes that if she’s going to learn the ways of a Londoner, she’ll need help.
Enter Estelle, British R&B phenom, friend of La La, and well known for her popular hit ‘American Boy.’ With Estelle leading the way, La La sees the city of London in a whole new light. Going from high fashion boutiques to, Mozomi Sushi, and even a spin on a stripper pole, Estelle shows La La her favorite spots in London and saves the day. And viewers are even treated to a surprise Estelle performance at Club Boujis where La La even sings along front and center.
Between all the characters and multiple hats that La La wears, the Season 3 premier does a good job capturing viewers’ attention and setting the stage for more action to come in the following weeks!
