Hill Harper Moving On From CSI:NY To Covert Affairs
After 9 years spent working on CSI: NY, actor Hill Harper is jumping ship. The show is just wrapping up the end of its 9th season, and Harper’s contract has ended. A decision has not yet been made on whether the show will return, though its chances for renewal are very slim. Rather than taking  a risk and joining a new show pilot, Harper is  joining the show Covert Affairs, which airs on the USA network, as a regular cast member. There’s already a character description. According to Deadline:
Harper, repped by Innovative and Luber Roklin, will play an ambitious CIA station chief based in Latin America who is plotting his way into a bigger position back in Washington and seeks Annie and Auggie’s help, but his questionable actions will cause them to doubt his intentions.
Convert Affairs airs in the summertime, when the Fall-Spring shows are taking breaks. The 4th season of Covert Affairs will likely begin sometime in July 2013. USA network has been impressively integrating Black characters into shows and giving them real roles. its unlikely Hill Harper fans will be disappointed.
