Beyonce: Life Is But A Dream Documentary To Air February 16
A new Beyonce documentary titled Life Is But A Dream will premier on Sunday, February 16 at 9 p.m. eastern time on HBO. The film is directed and executive produced by Beyonce, which initially worried studio executives.
HBO programming president Michael Lombardo said:
“We have a long history at HBO in the documentary world and in the music world, and, the notion of any person of note being responsible for the editorial choices in a story about themselves is something I approach with some degree of cynicism.”
However, he changed his mind after watching the film in its entirety according to Business Insider.
HBO has given this official description of the film:
The film is a multi-faceted portrait of the 16-time Grammy Award-winning singer, businesswoman, songwriter, actress, entrepreneur, wife and mother, showing off the extraordinary gifts that have made her a global phenomenon, and stripping away the veneer of stardom. It includes extensive first-person footage, some of it shot by Beyoncé on her laptop, in which she reflects on the realities of celebrity, the refuge she finds onstage and the transcendent joy of becoming a mother last year.
Morever the film covers Beyonce’s childhood, her relationships, and the intense demands, both physical and mental, required to maintain all aspects of her career.
