Nicole Beharie is Mentally Unstable in “Small of Her Back”
Nicole Beharie’s film, Small of Her Back premiered the at Urbanworld Film Festival in September 2012 according to IndieWire.
The film has been in the works for a long time. It got funding from a kickstarter campaign 2 years ago. On the kickstarter page the film is described as follows:
SMALL OF HER BACK is a feature film about a troubled young woman who never leaves her apartment and the stranger who appears at her door in the middle of the night.
If there is such a thing as a dark comedy, then SMALL OF HER BACK is a kind of dark romance, with some truly breathtaking performances from our two leading actors, Nicole Beharie and Christopher Domig
Also important to know is that Nicole Beharie’s character is bipolar.

The clip above was created before full funding for the film was acquired. Things like color correction, music, and post production were not complete. The clip above is pretty bare, but it appears that the bare, raw feel is what they are going for. Nothing distracted from the performances.
