Live! With Michael and Kelly – Michael Strahan Now Permanent Co-Host
After the departure of Regis Philbin from morning talk show “Live”, Kelly Ripa has spent a year hosting the show either solo, or alongside temporary celebrity co-hosts. Â 40-Year-Old Former New York Giants NFL player, Michael Strahan, has been chosen as the new permanent co-host. He made his debut on Monday, September 4th to a 44% ratings increase, according to Indie Wire.
Strahan is no stranger to mass media outlets. He’s appeared in commercials for the Subway 5 -dollar-foot long, as well as spots for Sports Authority, Pizza Hut, Dr. Pepper and more. He co-hosted the Fox NFL Sunday Pregame show, made cameos on NBC series Chuck and the  Fox show Brothers.
The show has been renamed Live! With Michael and Kelly.
