First Look: Jamie Foxx, Kerry Washington, and Leonardo Dicaprio in Django Unchained

Director Quentin Tarantino’s highly anticipated Pre Civil War period flick is scheduled for release on Christmas 2012. The movie has an amazing cast including Kerry Washington, Jamie Foxx, Samuel L. Jackson, and Leonardo Dicaprio!

Here’s a synposis of the characters from Hollywood Reporter:

Jamie Foxx – Plays title character Django, a slave who strikes a deal with a bounty hunter  in exchange for help finding his kidnapped wife (Kerry Washington).

Leonardo DiCaprio plays a plantation owner named Calvin Candie, who grooms slaves to battle each other for sport.

Kurt Russell plays a slave trainer.

Samuel L. Jackson plays a house slave named Stephen.
